On Tuesday, 9th February, we had our Pancake Day Party. We made pancakes, topped with our favourite toppings (a LOT of Nutella!) and ate them. The eating was our favourite part! As there was some waiting involved, everyone played boardgames as well. Everyone brought in a few Euro to go to The National Children's Hospital. We had a fantastic drumming workshop on January 25th last, with Patrick Naughton...he had a van full of African drums, enough for everyone to get lots of hands on experience! As part of our History Project, 'Easter 1916 and the Seán Hurley Story', we had a display of artifacts from 100 years ago which was very interesting. Among the artifacts were old lamps, coins, cooking pots, Bible and crucifix, a jug, gramophone and even a gun! |
