The St. Patrick's Day Parade was great fun and for a change the sun shone - it was a beautiful day!
This year we chose the theme of Shaun the Sheep, which proved to be very popular with the younger people on the street. Ricky (and his Dad) did Trojan work turning his go-cart into a tractor and Ricky was perfect in his role as the farmer. We also had some very convincing sheep, accompanied to the Big City by a dog, a bull and ... even St. Patrick!
As usual, Con (our Board Chairman) did the honours and pulled our float in style with his appropriately coloured little green tractor. The trailer was very colourful and we were a happy crew going along the street. We were really pleased to get the call afterwards saying we had won the prize for the 'Best Float' for the second year in a row.
Well Done to everyone!!
